Community involvement and Suppliers

You might wonder what is enjoyable about pulling apart old houses; the dusty old lathe & plaster, or groveling underneath the damp floor to replace piles, replacing damaged borer ridden timber. Not to mention the rusted roofs, and rotten windows, etc, etc…

Well actually we do enjoy our work; not just because we love old home, with their sense of history and people’s journeys, and not just because we are inherently ‘problem solvers’ and love the challenge…

Over the years, we have developed strong support from our Sub Contractors and Suppliers, who are essential to our work.

We value these relationships and the reliability that comes from a mutual commitment to excellence and reliability.

As you can probably detect, we enjoy the relationship side of our work, and there is real job satisfaction making improvements and increasing the enjoyment of people’s lives.

It seems natural therefore that we intentionally look for other ways to add value in society beyond our own work; by sponsoring organizations who are making a real difference in people’s lives here in Christchurch;

Like Ronald McDonald House, caring for child cancer patient families.

And City Mission working on behalf of the poor in our city.

And getting in behind small initiatives like “Stop the Bus!”, raising awareness of child poverty and family violence across NZ.

Sponsoring local high school sports teams in need of encouragement.

And others like World Vision, and Bright Hope World; bringing life change and hope at a global level.
